Up-Side-Down Bike

East Seventh Street, East Village. A neighbor said it had been like that for a couple of months, and was put there by a local "nut." Another neighbor said: “The bike itself wasn’t put there by a local nut, it was left there while a neighbor went on vacation. I lived right next door to this, and asked about the bike a while ago, before it was put up like this, and it seems as if the key for the lock got lost.

There weren’t a lot of spots to lock my bike near my apartment, so my guess is someone got smart and lifted it up so that other people can use the post to lock their bikes up. Incedentally, it looks pretty cool.” View Large
