Two Bush 2000 Florida recount aides were rewarded with top FEMA posts
Reversing an eight-year crusade to rid the now-embattled Federal Emegency Management Agency of political patronage, a newly elected George W. Bush in 2001 named two key players in his Florida recount fight to important FEMA posts.
Neither man, Jacksonville attorney Reynold Hooverand Miami lawyer Mark Wallace, had any experience in emergency management before they were named by the Bush administration to FEMA, now under fire for its botched response to Hurricane Katrina.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republicans across the nation are scrambling to defend President George W. Bush after he ate a baby during a visit to the White House kitchen early last evening.
Eye witnesses report that the president left the White House residence at around 8:05 p.m. eastern time wearing what appeared to be a crudely stitched “woman suit made from actual women”.
He then entered the White House kitchen where he ate a baby with a side order of “a Cobb Salad containing raw puppy heads”.
“I’m not going to engage in the blame game. That baby was stupid for not running away and calling 911 for assistance,” said House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX). “And I’ve seen the president’s woman suit up close and I can tell you, it’s better than mine. Never-the-less, the kitchen staff should be held accountable for letting this happen on their turf.”

EPA Scientists & Workers Call for an End to Water Fluoridation Because of Cancer Risk
Eleven EPA employee unions representing over 7000 environmental and public health professionals of the Civil Service have called for a moratorium on drinking water fluoridation programs across the country, and have asked EPA management to recognize fluoride as posing a serious risk of causing cancer in people. The unions acted following revelations of an apparent cover-up of evidence from Harvard School of Dental Medicine linking fluoridation with elevated risk of a fatal bone cancer in young boys.

They had the intention to take to the sidewalks from the park but the Police had other ideas.

We left Washington Square in small groups and reassembled in Union Square Park.

Where we were again surrounded by cops.
