I’m not sure how to classify this one. It’s most likely the work of a street artist, but it could be the result of religious mania. The disjointed words and the paint-by-numbers style of the image leaves me undecided. I’ll look for more of these, they might help me decide. Ludlow Street, Lower East Side.

Pasted paper face in a doorway on First Avenue. I suspect that this piece has been here for at least three years, other pastings of this print elsewhere are that old. I’ve passed this doorway in my neighborhood probably hundreds of times, today was the first I noticed it.
