City seeks removal of ad on historic Flatiron Building A 15,200-square-foot advertisement plastered across the landmark Flatiron Building in Manhattan violates city building regulations and could pose a threat to pedestrians’ safety, the city said.The Buildings Department issued 10 citations to the property’s owners on March 28, saying the ad was posted without a permit and could be toppled by strong winds. – Newsday
