“The eight-story loft building was erected in 1891, a classic example of Romanesque Revival architecture. It was designed by the renowned architect George B. Post, whose other works included the Williamsburg Bank Building in Brooklyn, and the New York Stock Exchange, a Neoclassical masterpiece. 704 / 706 Broadway. Another impressive facade on Broadway. This former hat factory now has a two story $20 million penthouse with a pool on the roof. Virtual tour.

It was built in 1894. The most distinctive feature of the facade are the reclining figures ignoring we peons below.

You can vaguely see some of the roof foliage.
