According to The Villager: “A row of shuttered stores and bars on Orchard St. south of Houston St. is apparently the site of a new hotel in the works for the block. It’s reported construction will soon begin on an 18-to-22-story “boutique†hotel with 70 hotel rooms, 25 condo-hotel units and nine luxury apartments selling for $750,000 to several million dollars. The developers are Thompson Hotels, owners of 60 Thompson in Soho, with principals Jason, Michael and Lawrence Pomeranc.” |
