Standing on the northeast corner of Houston Street and Avenue B, I had to stand well back from the curb to avoid getting splashed by the cars speeding past. I took this shot hoping to capture the experience. It wasn’t until I got back home that I noticed the gesture of solidarity from the guy sitting high and dry inside the car.
