Tree Flower Snow

I’m not sure what species of tree does this, but many sidewalks are covered in what looks like tiny petaled flowers. And with all the rain they are sometimes slippery. Today weather, hot and sticky, but not wet, aside from the sweat. Stanton Street, Lower East Side.
