Sarah D. Roosevelt Park. I think this is a group practicing Falun Gong, a form of qigong. Falun Gong is called a cult by the mainland Chinese government. But, for all I know this could be some other Chinese practice, some form of tai-chi. I often see an adorable ancient Chinese couple doing very strange looking hopping and hand waving exercises in the schoolyard at Houston and Norfolk Street, early in the morning. It must work, I hope I am as spry at their age. |
