I’m guessing/hoping it’s an April Fools joke, but instead of Howard Stern, a couple of perky morons named Cross and Lopez are on the air touting themselves as “Fun without the filth.” The one thing that gives away the joke is the lite elevator music. I can’t see WXRK programming this pablum. But they’ve taken the joke all the way through the first commercial break. I’m getting worried.
These bistids kept the joke going until 7:20. Cross was program director “Chuck Roast.” Lopez was Danni an XRK fill- in jock. Channel 11 and 5 in NY bought the joke and announced the”breaking news” that “Stern was off the air.”
