Helen Thomas, reporter noted for her astute questions at presidential press conferences since the Kennedy era, has some definite opinions about G.W. Bush.

"I have never covered a president who actually wanted to go to war. Bush’s policy of pre-emptive war is immoral - such a policy would legitimize Pearl Harbor. It’s as if they learned none of the lessons from Vietnam," - MIT Tech Talk - Full video of the lecture is available on the site.

“This is the worst president ever,” she said. “He is the worst president in all of American history.” - in the Daily Breeze

Ordinary jet aircraft vapor trails are made from ice crystals and disperse quickly. Chemtrails are reputedly some secret government opertation spreading unknown chemicals from the back of military aircraft. Chemtrails are said to hang and spread, turning the sky from clear to hazy. Some say it is a weather modification project. I have no idea what the real story is, but these photos are pretty strange.

Clara Sinclair

Real Video on DC Indymedia
Transcribed from the video of Clara Sinclair before she was injured during the civil disobedience near Lafayette Park (She is kneeling in the street): "I am a Quaker….I believe we are wrong to try to go to war with a country as small and as week… We are strong and our strength is in our spirit, and this is no way to show our spirit to the world….I want to do civil disobedience. I’m 83 years old and I still believe there is a way to peace and I’ve come to be a part of it…It’s putting my body on the line, not just my mind, not just my thoughts. I’ve done this for a number of years now (laughs). I believe in the principle of peace." On DC Indymedia also a video by Barry R. Student interviewing witnesses to the incident.

I emailed Brian, remarking that he got in quite close to the action, and asked if he was threatened with arrest himself. He replied: "I was close to Clara when they knocked her down, for the rest of the photos I was either on the sidewalk or behind the police line shooting with a wide zoom, so I was in the "approved zone;" and although it didn’t stop the police from pushing me back a few times, I wasn’t threatened with arrest."
