| Transcribed from the video of Clara Sinclair before she was injured during the civil disobedience near Lafayette Park (She is kneeling in the street): "I am a Quaker….I believe we are wrong to try to go to war with a country as small and as week… We are strong and our strength is in our spirit, and this is no way to show our spirit to the world….I want to do civil disobedience. I’m 83 years old and I still believe there is a way to peace and I’ve come to be a part of it…It’s putting my body on the line, not just my mind, not just my thoughts. I’ve done this for a number of years now (laughs). I believe in the principle of peace." On DC Indymedia also a video by Barry R. Student interviewing witnesses to the incident. |
